A junior side was fielded alongside a new-look back four, midfield, and forward line against weaker opposition. While the scoreline reflected the difference in quality, the overall performance lacked fluency and cohesion at times, with the team appearing disjointed in possession and build-up play.

Defensively, however, the side remained well organised and disciplined throughout, rarely allowing the opposition any meaningful opportunities. A number of sweeping passing combinations highlighted the team’s attacking quality and resulted in several well-worked goals.

Making her first league start, Shanti produced an outstanding display and was influential in attack with two superb assists, standing out as the best performer on the pitch.
