INTRODUCTION

Mrida Education & Welfare Society (“Mrida”) is an 80(g) tax‐exempt organization registered as a nonprofit organization in the state of Madhya Pradesh, India. Our mission is to build and scale impactful education and nutrition practices along with career pathways for children in an environment of love and care.

At Mrida, we value the importance of our supporters’ privacy and are committed to protecting it. We will do our best to protect the security of your data and will never sell or share your data with any other organization for marketing purposes.

This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and disclose and protect your personal data.

Why does Mrida collect personal data?

Mrida collects and uses personal data to support the interest of its nonprofit work, in furthering our charitable mission. We may collect and store data on individuals who have interacted with or given to Mrida in the past, who are employed by organizations that support Mrida, or who have a strong alignment with Mrida’s mission, among others because we believe these activities to be in line with our goal of building a global community of support for Mrida. We may store information collected in alignment with these goals for as long as we deem it beneficial to our organization.

“Personal Data” includes any and all information that allows Mrida to identify you as an individual.

Personal data that Mrida collects may include your name, email address, mailing address, telephone number, donation history, employer, and other information about your identity. We may also collect information related to your relationship with Mrida.

How does Mrida collect my personal data?

  • Donations and correspondence: When you donate to Mrida, we will store the information you provided to us during the donation. For example, we may store the mailing address listed on a personal check or the email address given during an online donation.
  • Events: Mrida may store any personal information you provide to us while attending a Mrida-sponsored event or responding to an invitation. We frequently take photos and recordings at Mrida events; If you participate in a Mrida event as a panelist, presenter, or attendee, you may be captured in these materials, and your likeness stored in our records or used for promotional materials.
  • Third parties: We may receive personal data about you from other sources, including your company/organization, professional references, publicly available sources, and other third parties. For example, if you provide it to a donation platform such as Give India while donating to us, or if it is provided to us by one of our employees or other stakeholders.
  • Cookies and log data: Mrida uses cookies to gather website user data through Google Analytics, such as age, gender, and interests, and to determine the number of unique visits to Mrida’s website. Users can disable cookies on their computer by indicating this in the preferences section of their browser. Log data collected on web servers supply Mrida with aggregate information about the number of visits to different pages on our website. We use log data to improve the design and content of our website. Neither cookies nor log data provide us with individualized information about you.
  • Ads appearing on our website may be delivered to users by advertising partners, who may set cookies. These cookies allow the ad server to recognize your computer each time they send you an online advertisement to compile information about you or others who use your computer. This information allows ad networks to, among other things, deliver targeted advertisements that they believe will be of most interest to you. This Privacy Policy covers the use of cookies by Mrida and does not cover the use of cookies by any advertisers.
  • Comments and other content submitted to Akismet anti-spam service are not saved on our servers unless they were marked as false positives, in which case we store them long enough to use them to improve the service to avoid future false positives.

Mrida does not collect personal information from visitors to our site, unless the information is specifically provided by a visitor – for example, by subscribing to our newsletter.

Mrida is headquartered in Mrida. If you are visiting our website from outside India, be aware that your information may be transferred to, processed, and stored in India, where our office is located.
