The COVID relief grassroots level intervention is to provide medical consultation, medicines. medical equipment and follow-up support to the poor people of the Mohgaon block in Mandla district, Madhya Pradesh, India. The nearest Community Health Centre is 15-25 km away and serious COVID cases are referred to Mandla district HQ, which is 40 km away from Mohgaon block, and which is currently swamped. UPDATE: 11June 2021

The COVID-19 situation in the Mohgaon block in Mandla district is now slowly improving. The patient count per day has now reduced to 2-3 from 20+ that we recorded during the peak in April-May 2021. Our volunteers are still going door to door to disseminate the right information related to COVID-19 and encourage families to go for vaccination. In our 2nd phase, we are now working to rebuild the lives of families who have been negatively impacted by the pandemic. The next phase of work involves making sure adults in the families complete their vaccination course, and provide food kits and financial help to those poor households who have lost their earnings due to lockdown. Your continued support towards the ongoing COVID-19 relief work will be greatly appreciated. Click here to donate.

About Us

Mrida has been working at grassroots level with a vision to end poverty in the Mahakaushal region for the past five years. Our intervention programs in education, sports excellence, technology and sustainable livelihood are uplifting the lives of children, youth and farmers in Mandla district, Madhya Pradesh.

The COVID-19 second wave has hit us hard, just like the rest of the country – we were relatively unaffected in the first wave. We have been getting over 150 cases every day and the district has a total of 973 active cases (29% of total cases that Mandla has seen since the start of the pandemic).

Our goal is to help patients with any or all of the necessary medical assistance listed above. To reach that goal we need to raise INR 9,34,000. Support us to reach the goal.
